Fibre-Reinforced Plastic Composites - Determination of Compressive Properties in the In-Plane Direction
Principle of Operation:
The compressive strength and modulus of plastic or composite samples can be ascertained through measurement using a COMPRESSION TEST FIXTURE, adhering to the specifications outlined in ASTM D695 Fig.4, ASTM D3846, EN 2850, iSO 14126 Fig.C2, GOST 9550-81, and SACMA SRM1. The standard delivery of this fixture includes one carrier and one set of inserts, with all standard inserts designed to be interchangeable with the carrier.
Specifically, a Compression Fixture designed for evaluating the compressive characteristics of rigid plastics in accordance with ISO 14126 is utilized. This fixture is positioned between the compression platens of a testing machine.
