Application:
In this test method, a loop-shaped specimen is positioned inside the EN 495-5 Test Fixture and kept at the specified low temperature for one hour. The fixture is then closed in less than one second and held closed for another second. Once the specimen has returned to room temperature, it is inspected for any signs of cracking or breakage.
